LAVOSI has changed the lives of all our students since 2010.
LAVOSI is a non-profit association established in Jocotenango, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala. LAVOSI means "Las Voces del Silencio" which translates to "The Voices of Silence". Which main goal is to improve the lives of Deaf children and youth in Guatemala.
LAVOSI provides an inclusive and fully accessible school environment the promotes academic learning, social development, job readiness, dignity, and acceptance as Deaf individuals.
The school was founded by Álvaro Ernesto De León Espinoza. Through his hard work determination and the help of LAVOSI´s team, he created a unique school that empowers Deaf children and youth to face their future with a sense of hope and optimism.
Lavosi Barber/Salon Classroom
Lavosi wants to set up a barber/salon class for students to learn how to do haircuts for females and males, giving the students the opportunity to find jobs at barber/salon places. The money will be used to buy barber/salon supplies, a barber chair, 2 wall mirrors, lamps, posters, chairs for waiting, and deocrations.

Painting Supplies
Lavosi received a donation for paint buckets but Lavosi needs painting suipplies to paint the 2nd floor. Lavosi need new painter rolls, extension pole, a ladder, paint trays, blue tapes, and a tarp to protect the floor. The students and staff will do the painting.

School Supplies and Maintenance
Th donation will go toward covering the annual cost of providing paint for the classrooms, a new whiteboard, desks for children students, and school maintenance. These essential resources will help ensure that our students have a well-equipped space in which to learn and grow.
